Want to live in the highly ranked Moundsview School District? Have less than $600,000 to spend? Well then it’s really darn hard to find a nicely updated home. If you love oak cabinets and at least some dated spaces, you’re all set, but if a more contemporary style suits you, it can be really hard to make a house-hunting love connection.

Arden Hills kitchen

Oops – old kitchen is oakey finoakey. And lacks lighting. And is a little messy.

Eric and I (Julie) bought an Arden Hills soft contemporary home to update, in hopes of serving a need for families or others who seek fresh space in this area. While this home featured an open floorplan, lots of natural light, and nicely updated mechanicals, the rest of the home was original to 1986.

Updated Arden Hills kitchen remodel

Bright and airy, clean kitchen. Yippee for kitchen remodels.

I don’t know about you, but purple gigantic Jacuzzi tubs aren’t my jam. (Do you know how much water it takes to take a bath in one BTW? You’re filling and filling and filling and I just feel California going in to a drought from my overconsumption.)

Enough about tubs! Check out the before and after slideshow on our Houzz page by clicking here. Who doesn’t love a nice before and after?

And, as of this post going live, this home is for sale. (YOU should buy it!) Check out the listing here.

Thanks friends! Hope to work with you soon, or see you at an open house, or meet you out in town for a glass of something delicious.
