Who we are

Eric Kottke

Eric Kottke, owner of Constructive Builders, has a dedication to homebuilding and creating comfortable, beautiful living spaces for his customers. More than just a project manager or a general contractor, Eric has over 10 years hands-on experience in all phases of construction, from foundation work to finish carpentry. Quality craftsmanship, attention to detail and environmental stewardship are engrained values for Eric, values he believes shine through when comparing his projects with those of corporate developers. And while he is in construction to make a living, the greater goal of his projects is that they serve to be warm, inviting and memory-rich homes for generations. In his free time, Eric enjoys hiking, fishing, hanging out with his family and reading Fine Homebuilding magazine.

Julie Lunn

Julie manages the financial side of the business, including all bookkeeping and budgeting for clients. She keeps clients updated as to the billing status and how each project is tracking to budget. Julie is also the great organizer at Constructive Builders, from time lines to warranties and insurance needs. Julie has an MBA from the University of Colorado and a BA in Journalism from the University of Minnesota, and her dad runs a third-generation construction company in Minnesota, so building is definitely a part of her heritage.

Lilah Kottke

Lilah Bea brings immense talent to Constructive Builders. Her primary roles include baseboard installation and serving as Master Inspector for all things 30 inches and below. She’s a natural who started in the construction business at a young age. Constructive Builders is proud to offer a flexible schedule, including daily naps, for this team member.

At Constructive Builders, we pride ourselves on having an educated and conscientious crew. We have also built relationships with subcontractors over time, so we know who will provide the best work at the best price for your project. Best of all, we are dedicated to being hands-on and on-site managers of your projects, so all subcontractors and crew members are working to our standards at all times.
